I'm getting Lasik surgery in two weeks, so I had to get a pair of eyeglasses to wear between now and then. I've never had a pair of glasses before, although I did borrow a pair from my mom for several months during my first year of law school.
So, most of my co-workers have not commented on my new glasses because they have been too busy laughing at me to verbalize a comment. Darren was able to stop laughing briefly, long enough to say "They're not THAT bad."

you need to mention that you picked the frames that cost 18 dollars...that makes the story soooo much better.
We need to see pictures....
At least you don't have braces like one of us! :)
You'll love lasik....makes the glasses worth it....ask Aaron, he can sympathize about hating it for those two weeks!
18 dollar frames? haaaa Of course you got the $18 frames. It reminds me of the gel pens that Cali got me for Christmas that one year, and you just HAD to pipe in about how they had cost you twelve whole dollars.
We need to see some pictures.
I take it that by the lack of photographic evidence of said glasses, that the taunts and snide remarks at work continued. Your online friends would never do such a thing.
